Dennis Kakol has over 40 years of various construction-related experience. As President of CONTECH, Dennis manages the operations and quality control of the firm as well as the analysis of construction claims, preparation of Expert Reports and provision of Expert Testimony.

Dennis has extensive experience in evaluating all aspects of construction defect, complex delay, acceleration, disruption and impact claims on a large variety of projects.

Before starting CONTECH in 1990, Dennis managed a major construction claims and management company where he directed the preparation or evaluation of claims with amounts as large as $750 million at stake. Dennis directed assignments for clients through regional managers nationwide. He also managed the construction, start-up and related consulting services of corporations involved with the nuclear and fossil fuel industries and has consulted with utilities on construction management, scheduling, start-up and testing.

United States Navy
- Graduate level courses in nuclear power plant operation, design and construction. Heavy emphasis on electrical generation and distribution.
Cornell University Graduate School of Engineering
- Masters in Nuclear Engineering. Emphasis on nuclear power plant design.
Cornell University School of Engineering
- Bachelor of Science, Engineering Physics with emphasis on electrical and nuclear theory. Graduated upper third of class.

As President of CONTECH since 1990, Dennis has extensive experience in evaluating all aspects of complex delay, acceleration, disruption and construction contract claims. He has evaluated or supervised the evaluation of more than 2,000 construction claims. He currently manages the operations and quality control of the firm.

1985 – 1990: High Point Schaer - President
Managed a major construction claims and construction management company. Directed the preparation or evaluation of over 100 construction claims as large as $750 million. Directed construction management projects for clients through regional managers nationwide.

1982 – 1985: ENERGY, Inc. - Regional Manager
Managed the construction, start-up services and related consulting services of a high-tech corporation involved with the nuclear and fossil fuel utility industry. Consulted with utilities on construction management, scheduling, start-up and testing.

1979 - 1982: DJK Associates - President
Provided start-up engineering, estimating, scheduling and construction management (including monitoring of vendors, contractors and A/E deliverables) to utilities. Prepared claims and provided testimony on claims for contractors' clients.

1974 - 1979: Fishbach & Moore - Project Manager
Managed and estimated electrical construction projects, including subway stations, utility power plants, industrial plant renovations, hospitals, office buildings, energy management control systems, high voltage transmissions lines, nuclear facilities and electrified rail catenary systems.

1972 - 1974: Aerojet Nuclear Company - Shift Supervisor
Operations Supervisor - Supervised start-up testing of the Loss of Fluid Flow Test (LOFT) experimental nuclear reactor for the Department of Energy. Prepared operating procedures, flushing procedures, hydrostatic test procedures.

1968 - 1972: U.S. Navy
Weapons officer on nuclear attack submarine. Managed and maintained military weapons systems.  Supervised testing and operation of nuclear reactor plant, control systems and related fluid systems.
